How to watch Lions vs. Bears: TV channel, announcers, kickoff time, more
The Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day classic is here!
For the 85th time, the Lions will be featured on the annual holiday, this time against their division rival Chicago Bears . Detroit is 37-45-2 on Thanksgiving, and 8-11 against the Bears on this special day. Most notably, the Lions have seven straight losses on Thanksgiving—and they know it.
“I think there’s two things. Number one, get a W, right and it’s a division win that’s why this is huge,” coach Dan Campbell said this week. “Number two is because the players are going to get a couple of days off. So, they have family, friends in, it’d be nice to feel good about it when you’re with everybody because it’s just not real fun. It’s not real fun to be around. Ask my wife, she’ll tell you.”
On the surface, it may look like an easy task for the 10-1 Lions to defeat the 4-7 Bears. However, Chicago has had some narrow losses against good teams recently. They took the Vikings to overtime last week. Before that, a game-winning field goal against the Packers was blocked. And I don’t think we’ll ever forget when the Bears lost to the Commanders via a hail mary.
Additionally, the Lions are missing a couple of key players with left tackle Taylor Decker and Carlton Davis out due to injury.
Will the Lions overcome those tribulations and put their streak to an end? Here’s how you can watch the 85th Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day classic.
