Come hang our in our live chat for Lions vs. Bears.
The Detroit Lions may have clinched the playoffs already, but these final three games of the season feel critical to their postseason chances. With injuries mounting, the Lions could use all the help they can get—and that means prioritizing winning the division and earning a first round bye.
The good news is that the Lions still have all of that within in their own control. If they win all three games, they’re the NFC’s top seed. The bad news is they’re currently tied with two teams (Vikings, Eagles) atop the NFC at 12-2, so even one slip up could cost them both the first-round bye and the division.
Coming off a tough loss, the Lions have a great opportunity to bounce back and reinstall faith in and outside of the locker room. The Chicago Bears are riding an eight-game losing streak, have been eliminated from the playoffs, have fired a pair of coaches this season, and are coming off back-to-back losses of three scores or more.
No wins should ever be taken for granted, and that surely isn’t true of this week. Just three weeks ago, the Bears nearly beat the Lions in Detroit, so they shouldn’t be taken lightly. That said, their offense has been horrible this season, which presents an opportunity for the Lions’ beat-up defense to rebound in a big way.
Can they do it? Will they get any help from the other games? Come hang out in our Lions vs. Bears first half live chat in the comment section below, then look out for the second half live chat when the game goes to halftime.
