Our latest SB Nation Reacts survey asks fans if they believe Amon-Ra St. Brown will exceed or fall short of his projected receiving totals.
Welcome to another installment in SB Nation’s Reacts survey series. This week, we are asking Detroit Lions fans two questions:
- Will Amon-Ra St. Brown exceed his projected total of 1075.5 receiving yards?
- Will Amon-Ra St. Brown exceed his projected total of 8.5 receiving TDs?
After checking in on Jahmyr Gibbs’ projected rushing totals last week and Jared Goff’s projected passing totals the week prior, we decided to run the survey back one more time with one of the most prolific pass catchers in the NFL.
For this exercise, we’ll use the projected stat totals from the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook for context. At the time of the publication of this article, St. Brown is projected to have 1,075.5 receiving yards and score 8.5 receiving touchdowns. For context, those projections land St. Brown at the seventh-most receiving yards and tie him for the second-most receiving TDs.
St. Brown has cemented himself as one of the top receivers in the NFL. He’s coming off back-to-back first-team All-Pro seasons, three consecutive 100+ receptions seasons, and three straight seasons with 1000+ receiving yards. Here’s a look at what he’s done over his first four seasons in the NFL:
2021: 912 receiving yards, 5 TDs (90 receptions)
2022: 1,161 receiving yards, 6 TDs (106 receptions)
2023: 1,515 receiving yards, 10 TDs (119 receptions)
2024: 1,263 receiving yards, 12 TDs (115 receptions)
For additional context, St. Brown would have cleared the reception yards totals in Week 17 in 2022, Week 15 in 2023, and Week 16 in 2024. He would have surpassed his touchdown totals in Week 17 in 2023 and Week 10 in 2024.
Like with Gibbs and Goff, St. Brown is likely getting knocked down a bit after a change at offensive coordinator, but is that change enough to reduce him to pre-Ben Johnson numbers?
Let us know your thoughts by voting in the survey below, and check back in later in the week for the results. Additionally, throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country.
