Lions News: Claressa Shields, Hulk Hogan visit Lions training camp

A pair of champions stopped by Allen Park to hang with the Detroit Lions at training camp.

Each year, special guests visit Allen Park to hang with the Detroit Lions during training camp. On Thursday afternoon, two major stars stopped by and the guys, including Dan Campbell, seemed pretty excited about it.

During her visit, boxing champion and Flint native Claressa Shields talked boxing combinations with rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold, went head-to-head with star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, and snapped photos with Lions owner Sheila Hamp.

“My dad was also a boxer who embedded in me to be a Lions fan and always cheer for the home team,” Shields said in the video above. “So make sure you guys always cheer for the Lions and make sure you guys cheer for me July 27 at Little Caesars Arena.”

Shields could make history as the first woman to win titles in four and five divisions if she beats champion Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse on Saturday for the WBC women’s heavyweight title and also the WBO light heavyweight title.

WWE legend Hulk Hogan also visited Allen Park, hanging with “Campbell-Mania brother.”
