The Detroit Lions are already pretty health as they head deeper into the playoffs but are on the verge of getting even healthy ahead of their big playoff game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
According to ProFootballTalk, the Lions have activated star linebacker James Houston off injured reserve. Houston emerged as a star pass rusher for the Lions in 2022, recording 8.0 sacks in despite playing less than one-third of the team’s snaps.
But Houston has been injured and has not played since September. Speaking to the media earlier this week, he said that he’s finally ready to get out there and win for Detroit.
“I’m ready to get out there ,” Houston said, via the Detroit Free Press . “It looks like fun. They’re winning and the whole city is behind them, so I want to be out there.”

The Detroit Lions’ biggest issue this season has been their defense, particularly against the pass. But if they get a pass rusher like Houston back, they might be able to keep the high-octane Tampa Bay Buccaneers for creating problems in their building.
Will Houston play against the Bucs this weekend? Will he be an impact player if he does?
