The Detroit Lions saw star tight end Sam LaPorta go down with an injury in their season-ending win over the Minnesota Vikings. Unfortunately, his recovery is going a little too slowly.
On today’s injury report, LaPorta was listed as “Did Not Practice” with a knee injury. It was the second day in a row that LaPorta did not practice ahead of the Lions’ Wild Card game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
The rookie tight end had 86 receptions for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns. For his efforts he was named a Pro Bowl starter – a rare feat for a rookie tight end.
If LaPorta misses the game, the Lions will be without their No. 2 leading receiver and No. 4 yards gainer from this past season.

The Detroit Lions are playing in their first home playoff game in a generation this weekend. But they’re doing so against a Los Angeles Rams team that is fully healthy and only a three-point underdog this Sunday.
Will LaPorta be able to play?
