Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams could be the weapon offensive coordinator John Morton’s always wanted
With the Detroit Lions looking towards a new offensive coordinator, there’s always room for more to step up. Wide receiver Jameson Williams took big steps in 2024, but with new coordinator John Morton singing his praises, there’s a lot to like about the pair. Morton always liked to take the top off defenses, but largely lacked the firepower to do so in New York. With a talent like Jamo, the numbers are starting to tabulate themselves.
On this episode of the Pride of Detroit PODcast, we revisit the schedule, handing out superlatives for the Lions slate and bemoan the double holiday quite a bit because it’s some genuine annoyance. We also outline how the Lions have something of a rest advantage over their opponents, in spite of a tough strength of schedule.
We also discuss the latest from the new Lions coordinators and coaches, with a focus to David Shaw, Kacy Rodgers and John Morton. With the offense, not much is expecting to change, but will it hold? Ennis Rakestraw is starting to take more time as an outside corner, plus the coaching staff has a lot of good stuff to say about wide receiver Jameson Williams and a big season to come.
