The Detroit Lions are starting to get much healthier as Week 1 of training camp comes to a close. Full injury updates here.

After approaching the first few days of training camp practice with some caution, the Detroit Lions had a pretty full roster of healthy players on Saturday. Their sixth camp practice—and first in front of season-ticket holders—featured six players either returning from injury or making their first appearance in training camp.

It’s a sign that the Lions are ramping up and could be in a much better injury situation than it looked like when camp opened last Sunday. Here are the full details from Saturday’s practice.

Still on injury list:

  • LT Taylor Decker (PUP)
  • G Miles Frazier (PUP)
  • DT Alim McNeill (PUP)
  • DT Mekhi Wingo (PUP)
  • EDGE Josh Paschal (NFI)
  • LB Malcolm Rodriguez (PUP)
  • CB Khalil Dorsey (PUP)

No changes to this list or updates on any of these players.

Returned to practice:

  • WR Tim Patrick
  • DT Roy Lopez
  • DT Tyleik Williams
  • EDGE Al-Quadin Muhammad
  • LB Alex Anzalone
  • CB Ennis Rakestraw

The Lions got a whole slew of guys back at practice Saturday. Most notably, Tyleik Williams was back after missing Friday’s practice for “personal reasons,” per Dan Campbell.

Additionally, Anzalone and Muhammad made their first appearances on the field. Both only did walkthroughs and spent the majority of their time with trainers on the hill, but it was a step in the right direction. After practice, Anzalone was asked if the progress on the field was a sign of progress in contract negotiations. He answered with a blunt, “No.”

Lopez and Rakestraw returned after missing several days of practice, and both received some limited team reps.

Still out

  • RB Sione Vaki (hamstring)
  • S Ian Kennelly (unknown)

Vaki has remained sidelined for nearly a week now, and he has not been working with trainers on the sideline. It’s unknown what Kennelly is dealing with, but he was running at a good pace with a trainer on Saturday.

New absences

  • CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver (hamstring)
  • S Kerby Joseph (undisclosed)

Thomas-Oliver left Saturday’s practice early with a reported hamstring injury. Joseph was an unexplained absence. At this point, it isn’t clear if it’s injury-related or not.

Limited

  • CB DJ Reed

Reed also did some training work on the hill during practice, and did not participate during most team drills. He assured reporters after practice that he was fine.
