It’s game day! Here’s how to watch, stream, or listen to Lions vs. Chiefs in preseason Week 2.
The Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs face off in a Saturday afternoon preseason matchup. It’s clear both teams have very different goals for the game.
Andy Reid and the Chiefs plan on playing their starters for the entire first half. Without the benefit of joint practices, they’re still trying to get their starters meaningful reps against an opponent other than themselves. Saturday afternoon will provide that opportunity—even if it is against Lions backups.
Because Dan Campbell and Detroit are in a very different mindset right now. After a physical week of joint practices with the New York Giants and an injury-filled preseason game, Detroit needs to scale back. Their first stringers are relatively healthy, but had the benefit of those joint practices to prepare against other teams. Campbell noted that he expects to rest most—if not, all—of his starters for this game. That means Detroit’s reserve players are going to have a real test on their hands Saturday. But what better opportunity to show you can hold your own in this league than to do it against Patrick Mahomes and the reigning two-time Super Bowl champs?
Here’s how you can catch Lions vs. Chiefs on televeision, streaming, the radio, or even on replay if you can’t catch it live.
