Two teams, two Dans, two feel good stories are clashing
The Detroit Lions watched from the sidelines on Wild Card weekend, and some of those sights were better than others. We’ll leave the AFC to their meandering, listless and tepid. The NFC’s got the juice, and the Commanders didn’t disappoint in their quest to surge into the pirate ship of Tampa Bay and escape with their first victory in ages.
That’s impressive. If you can’t admit that, Lions fan who might be reading this, then you have no thoughts up there. A long-suffering team finally getting of the schneid, a turnaround of historic proportions, jettisoning old baggage and fears? It could only be this.
On this episode of the Pride of Detroit PODcast, we start with Dan Bowl trivia and then straight into the impending matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions. We talk about how Washington has found improbable success this year, how they were able to dispatch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and what the Lions have to do to clamp down on Washington and their young quarterback Jayden Daniels. Plus, a farewell to the Packers .
We also discuss the coaching rumors swirling around Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn as both take interviews with multiple teams. We give our own opinions as Lions experts as to where we think the best fits would be for both of them, and examine the sudden hard push by the Raiders to put their name in the Ben Johnson sweepstakes.
