Potential Destinations
Detroit Lions– White recently visited Detroit, and although there wasn’t any agreement on a deal, Detroit is a logical fit. Detroit’s star linebacker Alex Anzalone is nursing a hamstring injury and is currently disappointed with contract talks as he enters the final year of his deal. The Lions’ Linebacker core also features Jack Campbell, Malcolm Rodriguez (recovering from an ACL injury ), and Derrick Barnes. Even with solid depth on paper, the Lions were hit hard by injuries down the stretch last season. It showed in their playoff loss to the Washington Commanders. Adding White gives them even more insurance at linebacker and more versatility. He also brings pass-rushing ability, which Detroit can use as star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson is still recovering from a serious leg injury.
Philadelphia Eagles- Rumors were recently floating around that the Eagles could be a potential landing spot for White . White spent a year with the Eagles back in 2022. That year, he had 66 solo tackles and 1.5 sacks. Eagles breakout star Nakobe Dean will be sidelined for a while as he recovers from a torn patellar tendon he suffered in the playoffs against Green Bay. Dean recently landed on the PUP list (physically unable to perform list) as he continues to recover. Meanwhile, Eagles 2025 first-round pick Jihaad Campbell is recovering from shoulder surgery he underwent early in the offseason. When fully healthy, the Eagles have one of the most dominant defenses in football. But with key injuries, adding a tackling machine like white could help them stay afloat in the short term. His past experience in Philly also gives both sides an advantage if there is mutual interest.
Sleeper Destination:
Cleveland Browns – Browns have emerged as a potential fit, especially after linebacker Jordan Hicks retired . The 33-year-old and former Super Bowl champion announced his retirement after 10 seasons. This leaves a glaring hole for the Browns, who are already thin at the linebacker position, which features former first-round bust Devin Bush and rookie Carson Schwesinger. White would step in immediately and play a big role, racking up the tackles. Cleveland looks like a strong candidate to sign White, as he fills a glaring need and can contribute immediately.

The 29-year-old has been a steady and productive presence throughout his seven-year career. He has totaled 615 tackles, 23 pass breakups, 7.5 sacks, and six interceptions. He also finished 15th in the NFL last season with 137 combined tackles. White has leadership and experience as he started at MIKE linebacker for the Cardinals the last two seasons. He wore the green dot where he called plays on defense and served as a team captain. Kyzir White is drawing interest and any contender or linebacker-needy team should be making a call for the veteran who’s flown a bit under the radar.
