Stars shine Saturday night in the finals.
The Detroit Lions finally did it, winning the team’s first NFC North crown. There is still plenty more to play for, including Saturday’s showdown against the Dallas Cowboys , but to earn that division championship already is a huge accomplishment. Hopefully the players will be fueled by that high for another big performance Week 17.
Like the Lions, potentially plenty of you are seeking championships this weekend as well. To make it this far in the fantasy season is no small feat, and it is fair to assume that each of you has ridden some strong players as well as smart decision making. Still, there are the final round of lineup choices to bring home the ship.
Today’s Question of the Day is:
What Lions-Cowboys start/sit decisions are you making?
My answer: Last week I called Jared Goff a sit (correct) and David Montgomery a flex (close). I will roll forward those choices again, though I think Goff could get to the QB1 cusp. I know Jahmyr Gibbs is unbenchable at this point, but I do wonder if the two running backs end up close to each other in the final tally. He is still the safer play, but Montgomery is not a terrible play.
The Cowboys are led by Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb who are obvious starts, but after that it is much more questionable. Consensus rankings have Tony Pollard in the back-end of the top 20 running backs, but I would honestly consider sitting him if you have better options. There is not a huge ceiling here, and the floor can be costly with everything on the line.
