The Detroit Lions take on the Indianapolis Colts in a Week 12 intraconference matchup. The Lions are seeking to become the first team in the NFL to reach double-digit wins this season, while the Colts are desperately clinging to postseason hopes at 5-6.
The Lions have been rolling opponents as of late, posting 38+ point wins in three of their past six games amidst an eight-game winning streak. They’ve got the highest scoring offense in football and their defense isn’t too far behind at fifth best.
Meanwhile, the Colts are a team with potential who is still figuring things out. Anthony Richardson is back at starting quarterback after a two-week hiatus via a benching. Last week against the Jets, he looked much better than earlier in the season, but it’s hard to know how much of that was real growth and how much of that was facing a deflated Jets team.
Either way, it should be an entertaining game to kick off Sunday’s NFL slate. The Colts have kept quite literally every single game close, so it may not be a cakewalk for Detroit this week.
