Dan Campbell Has Perfect Response To ‘Super Bowl Or Bust’ Idea

After reaching the NFC Championship Game in 2023, the Detroit Lions have big ambitions for 2024 and are widely seen as serious Super Bowl contenders. But what does head coach Dan Campbell think about the new hype?

Speaking to reporters this week, Campbell was asked if he sees 2024 as a “Super Bowl or bust” season. Without missing a beat, Campbell said that there is no bust, only a Super Bowl:

“I don’t see bust. I see Super Bowl,” Campbell said, via ESPN . “I don’t know what bust is.”

Campbell explained that the Lions have to take things one step at a time, starting by doing “all the little things” and ultimately winning the NFC North again in 2024 to set themselves up better.

“You’ve got to set yourself up no different than last year, certain things you gotta do to really make that valid and to make that a reality. Ultimately, that’s what we want to do. Now to do that you better win the division. You’ve got to give yourself the best odds you can. You need to win the division; you need best seeding you can possibly do. OK, well how do you do that? You’ve got to start with where we’re at now. You’ve got to go back to work. You’ve got to do all the little things, which to this point, our guys have done.”

The Lions became a fan favorite during the playoffs, nearly reaching the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

Will this be the year that the Lions win it all?
