Chargers, Ravens May Emerge Favorites for Pro Bowl Wideout

The Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens may emerge as favorites for Pro Bowl wideout, Davante Adams . According to a report , one NFL quarterback says the trade for Adams to the Jets is a done deal. This is interesting because Adams isn’t going anywhere. Still, he’s been showing his frustration with the team, especially in the popular Netflix documentary so things can brew from here to his reunion with Aaron Rodgers. The idea of the All-Pro wide receiver reuniting with the four-time NFL MVP quarterback is a thought on everyone’s minds.

“If I were to be reunited with anybody, it would be with Aaron, or be relocated anywhere, it would be with Aaron,” Adams said. “There’s a lot of stuff last year in the media with them asking. It ended up getting to the point where it got in the locker room and people were thinking that I was the driving force.”

Adams’ agents are denying the speculations and say that he isn’t going anywhere since there haven’t been any trade discussions. He’s entering the 11th NFL season and his third with the Raiders after coming to the team from the Packers in 2022 on a blockbuster trade. No doubt that the Jets remain favorites for the All-Pro but one should think about the other teams who could attempt to call for his services. The Chargers are still looking for a homegrown veteran since the departure of Mike Williams and Keenan Allen.

Things don’t look bright for Justin Herbert who remains a top-5 quarterback in the league. Baltimore could use some support since Rashod Bateman hasn’t been anything special in replica to helping Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews in the passing game. Only time can tell with Adams’ frustration in Las Vegas.

Other Potential Trade Fits

Detroit Lions

The Lions possess one of the greatest offenses put together with what they were able to accomplish last season. They’re bringing back Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown on new deals so they’ll be sticking around in the playoffs for the next few years. It was surprising to everyone how successful they were but the Adams trade may send shockwaves. Having two star wideouts on one team similar to Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel would give the NFC something to bite on for many defenses.

Adams would automatically bring this team to a Super Bowl since they have all the talent in the palm of their hands.

New Orleans Saints

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the idea of an old friend reunion could come up in reports when trade speculations come around. The Saints don’t have any type of star power on their offense so it’s hard to imagine what Derek Carr can do this upcoming year. Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed can only bring so much to this team but Adams’ involvement would make this offense a super team again.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are ready for this upcoming season after doing an excellent job of getting a supporting cast for second-year Bryce Young. Bringing Diontae Johnson shows the veteran presence they’ll have this upcoming year with returning Adam Thielen. Xavier Legette comes in ready to become an established receiver to fit into this offense but someone like Adams coming in would knock out every statistic on board to bring the team back into playoff contention.
