Another Jets failure linebacker Haason Reddick should have a market next month in free agency. According to a Bleacher Report , despite a forgettable lone season, the linebacker will likely have teams spur interest in him even though his one-year tenure with the New York Jets didn’t go as planned. Originally selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the former Temple product became one of the most prolific pass rushers in the league after spending the first three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals later becoming a legitimate force earning two Pro Bowls with Philadelphia. However, he held out for a new contract for nearly half of the season which was a cause as a distraction for the Jets and didn’t return to the team towards the end despite the Eagles trading him in exchange to sign Bryce Huff.
One bad season doesn’t take away from the rest of his accomplishments, he was able to amass 11 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and 35 quarterback pressures in his last season with the Eagles before the trade. Reddick was hoping for a new contract but that didn’t pan out since the Jets didn’t have the financial liberty to do that. He might have the same motive but Reddick will have to earn the right for a monster contract. Here are five teams that could take a chance on him.

Possible Next Destinations
Los Angeles Chargers
Reddick landing with the Los Angeles Chargers could achieve the mission that head coach Jim Harbaugh wants to accomplish of winning football games in the trenches. There’s no word on if the Chargers reached out to Khalil Mack for a new contract, meanwhile, Joey Bosa should be on his way out . While the team has money to burn, they might as well spend on a guy like Reddick to fill at least one hole in the linebacker department.
Baltimore Ravens
Meanwhile, the Ravens don’t have the same financial freedom as the Chargers do, but if Reddick has a robust market, he should sign with the team on a one-year deal. Trenton Simpson isn’t capturing his full form and they need an immediate upgrade to help Roquan Smith and Kyle Van Noy. Reddick could be the last piece to push for a Super Bowl run who is still young and has many years ahead of him.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders did their homework last offseason constructing one one of the most ferocious offenses under second-year Jayden Daniels. However, the same can’t be said about their defense even though they brought in adjustments from Dante Fowler Jr., Dorance Armstrong and Bobby Wagner . Reddick is a long-term upgrade that could help lead Washington in the right direction to replicate the success they have on offense.
Carolina Panthers
Reddick probably won’t bother signing with the Panthers, but if he does, it will come at the right price. Derrick Brown is making his return while other defensive pieces such as Shaq Thompson have an uncertain future. They could release Jadeveon Clowney and bring in a replacement like Reddick to give some life to the Panthers’ defense.
Detroit Lions
According to Over the Cap , the Lions have more than $51 million to spend so they could probably pull off signing Reddick on a lucrative deal. The team is one step closer to a Super Bowl despite the embarrassing loss against the Commanders. However, they didn’t have most of their stars like Aidan Hutchinson and the pass secondary to stop the opposing offense. When Hutchinson returns, he could pair with Reddick to become the new dangerous NFC duo.
