This week Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown became one of the Motor City’s wealthiest men by signing a $120 million contract extension. His first purchase with his newfound wealth was a rather generous one for the people of Detroit.
According to ESPN’s Lions insider Eric Woodyard, St. Brown celebrated his new deal by joining forces with the Little Caesars Love Kitchen to give out free pizza to those in need. Video shows St. Brown personally handing slices of pizza to hungry citizens.
“#Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, one of the richest athletes in Detroit, is handing out Little Caesars pizza at their Love Kitchen — one day after signing his new deal,” Woodyard wrote.
St. Brown emerged as one of the NFL’s elite wide receivers in 2023, making his second straight Pro Bowl and his first-ever First-Team All-Pro selection. He became one of the city’s most beloved players as they enjoyed their best season in two decades.
As a result, fans were absolutely floored to see St. Brown giving back to his community like this:
“How freaking awesome is Amon Ra!” one fan replied.
“So awesome to finally see this organization be a true representative of Detroit. From Sheila down. What a time to be a #Lions fan,” wrote another.
“He’s everywhere! Great on the field and off the field!” a third wrote.
The NFL Draft is being held in Detroit to kick off a year where the Lions are set to be one of the Super Bowl favorites.
It truly is good to be a Lions fan right now.
