9 free agent pass rushers for the Lions to consider

February 23, 2021 by Lions Wire Leave a Comment

One of the imperatives for the Lions is to upgrade the pass rush. Detroit’s defense struggled to create pressure under Matt Patricia and badly needs someone who can disrupt the opposing quarterback. Free agency, which begins on March 17th, is a good place to find some help on the pass-rush front.

Because of the overall status of the team, perched at the beginning of a major overhaul with a new front office and coaching staff, the focus here is more on younger players with some potential to still be with the team beyond the coming season. Veteran stopgaps are not something this particular Lions team needs to pay for early on in free agency.

All the players listed here are due to be unrestricted free agents when the league year changes on March 17th.
