Checking out a compilation of highlights and interviews of Lions draft pick Tyleik Williams.
The Detroit Lions have added some juice to their defensive front by drafting defensive tackle Tyleik Williams with the 28th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Williams is a big, physical defensive lineman that has been battled-tested against some of the best competition in college football at Ohio State . He is strong enough to two-gap, and has the quick-twitch to play the three technique, too.
During his time in Columbus, Williams played in 12 games as a freshman, and capped off his collegiate career with a National Championship in 2024. With the addition of Williams to the unit, the Lions are now pretty stacked on the interior defensive line—especially once star defensive tackle Alim McNeill returns from the ACL injury he suffered late in the 2024 regular season.
If he can acclimate to the professional level, Williams could provide some long-term stability to the nose tackle position once DJ Reader is no longer in Detroit. Let’s get into some highlights and interviews of Williams to get more familiar with him now that he is a member of the Lions.
