Happy Movember! This entire month, we’re raising money for the @umrogelcancer! Here are all the prizes, special streams, and donation incentives we’re doing this year.
It’s time for our Fourth Annual Movember Charity Drive. If you haven’t been around, for the entire month of November, we’ll be raising money through live streams and the website for a good, local cause. Last year, we raised over $41,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association and the Humane Society of West Michigan .
This year, we’ve got a new charity, new prizes, and are adding a whole lot of hilarity, stupidity, and humiliation to the game. It’s an opportunity for Detroit Lions fans to prove they’re not just the most passionate football fans, but the most charitable and passionate when it comes to helping their community.
Here’s everything you need to know about our fourth annual Movember charity event.
Charity
This year, we are raising funds for the University of Michigan Health Rogel Cancer Center , specifically for their Men’s Cancer Research Fund. Voted the highest rated center for cancer care in Michigan by the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospital rankings, the Rogel Center is at the cutting edge of both cancer treatment and research.
Donations collected through our fundraiser will go directly toward supporting groundbreaking research, raising awareness, and providing critical resources to patients in need.
This year’s charity means a lot to me, personally, as I lost my father to cancer in 2016. Ken Reisman, the entire reason I’m a Lions fan today, was diagnosed with kidney cancer back in 2001. Thanks to the research and care of places like the Rogel Cancer Center, I was able to spend well over a decade with him after his initial diagnosis—well beyond early estimates of how much time he had left (six months). Those are some of my most cherished memories I have with my father, and it never would have been possible without cancer research—which often can only get off the ground with help from individual donations.
How to donate through our campaign
Simple! Just head to our donation page here.
If you want to be part of the fun listed below, I would recommend donating while we’re live streaming on Twitch or YouTube. Regardless of when you donate, you will be eligible for the “Donation rewards” and “donation incentives” section below.
Donations can be paid through credit card or PayPal.
Prizes!
Giveaway prizes
This year, we will be holding giveaways to our live audiences. Here’s how it’ll work: when we hit specific milestones, we’ll run a random giveaway to one of our live viewers. All you have to do to be eligible is to be part of the live audience—most likely on Twitch—and type in the keyword when I give it out. That will be your free entry, and we’ll pull a random name when we hit certain milestones.
NOTE: Out of fairness for everyone, you are only eligible to win a single prize. In other words, once you win a prize, you are no longer eligible for future prizes in the 2024 giveaway.
Here’s what’s up for grabs (list will be updated throughout the month)
- 5 pack of Aidan Hutchinson cards
- 4 pack of Aidan Hutchinson cards
- Three (3) 2-packs of Aidan Hutchinson/Jameson Williams card
- Five (5) six-month subscriptions/memberships to POD’s Twitch or YouTube

Eric W.—a fan of Pride of Detroit and obviously the Detroit Lions—made these custom cards with the Pride of Detroit staff on it. They’re professionally made and even have a little jersey cutout embedded in them. I will have the staff members sign them and ship them out to the winner. Here’s a look at them:
