July has always been the most important month on the recruiting calendar in college basketball. While that has changed a bit with the transfer portal and an updated NCAA recruiting calendar, it still is the month where all eyes are on the grassroots circuit.
Dusty May and his staff have steadily expanded the 2025 recruiting board in April, May, and June, but July is when things come into focus. It’s the last evaluation period before visits begin, lists start to be trimmed and commitments start coming off the board in the fall.
