Hometown. Hero. Bryce Underwood just posted one of the coldest commitment videos you will ever see after flipping from LSU to Michigan:
The No. 1 recruit in the country is officially staying home. Five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood , who was previously committed to LSU, announced on Thursday night he was flipping to the Michigan Wolverines .
What came with it? Just one of the most hyped commitment videos you will ever see:
A young Underwood says, “I am going to bring my talent to the Michigan Wolverines” in the family video. Now, he has made that a reality.
Underwood plays for Belleville High School and is not only the No. 1 recruit in Michigan but also the top-ranked quarterback and overall player in the country. According to the 247Sports database, he’s the No. 3 all-time recruit in the state of Michigan’s history.
This is a monumental win for the Wolverines, who suddenly have life and energy surrounding the program. A win of this magnitude can shake up an entire class, and Michigan is already seeing the effects of it. There’s plenty more happening behind the scenes that will hopefully bring football relevance back to Ann Arbor after what has been a disappointing 2024 season.
Sherrone Moore and the program have been working with NIL and presenting a package for Underwood for weeks now. The rumored offer was $10.5 million for the Michigan product. It’s crazy because earlier this weekend, Underwood posted this on his Instagram.

While it was later deleted, the level of trolling here is just unbelievable given the circumstances. His flipped commitment video came out literally days later, and the No. 1 player in the country will be playing in the Big House next season.
At least for today, the Wolverines are back at the forefront of college football. Moore and his team still have plenty of work to do to bring this team back to glory, but earning Underwood’s commitment was an incredibly important start.
