WATCH: Dusty May drenched in locker room celebration after Michigan’s win over Texas A&M

Michigan didn’t take very long to celebrate in the locker room after their big upset win over Texas A&M in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolverines went all out, soaking head coach Dusty May in the process. WATCH:

The No. 5 Michigan Wolverines pulled off the upset over the No. 4 Texas A&M Aggies in their 91-78 victory in the NCAA Tournament’s Round of 32 on Saturday night. As is tradition when it comes to big wins in March Madness, the celebrating team went all out when they saw their head coach in the locker room.

Thankfully for us, the Michigan men’s basketball social media team was hard at work in Denver, Colorado to ensure we all got to see head coach Dusty May get doused with water bottles during the celebration.

My favorite part about all of this is May dapping up his son, Charlie May, as water is falling on him. And it sure sounds like he was confident they were going to beat A&M, talking about prepping for the team celebration by wearing an undershirt.

May and his team are soaking it all in — literally and figuratively — as they celebrate the come-from-behind win over the Aggies. The Wolverines were down by as many as 10 points in the second half before storming back thanks to an offensive surge by Roddy Gayle Jr. He put up a season-high 26 points, including 20 in the second half alone, to help Michigan punch its ticket to Atlanta for the second weekend of March Madness.

Michigan will get Auburn in the Sweet Sixteen next weekend, but for now, May and the Wolverines will celebrate a huge achievement that was unthinkable this time last year when the program was just wrapping up an awful 8-24 season.
