Vlad Goldin and Danny Wolf — the two leading scorers for the Michigan Wolverines — were named to the All-Big Ten teams by coaches and the media:
Two Michigan Wolverines earned All-Big Ten honors for the 2024-25 season, as voted on by conference coaches and the media. Vlad Goldin was named to the first team by the media and the second team by coaches, while Danny Wolf was named to the second team by both the coaches and media.
Both big men also earned honors from the Associated Press: Danny Wolf was named all-conference first team, while Goldin was named to the second team.
Michigan wouldn’t have finished with a 22-9 overall record and a third place finish in the Big Ten with a 14-6 record if not for Area 50-1. Goldin (16.7 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game) and Wolf (12.9, 9.7, 3.7 assists per game) were Michigan’s two leading scorers, with Goldin providing excellent rim protection and consistent scoring and Wolf creating shots and led the Big Ten in rebounds.
The solid play from this duo on each end was a big reason why Michigan was able to win so many close games this year. Goldin was the go-to guy late in games, and Wolf, firmly on the NBA Draft radar, would oftentimes take over second halves to help the Wolverines grab momentum.
The Area 50-1 pick-and-roll was the most unguardable play the Wolverines ran this season, with the Wolverines often turning to it late in games. Teams tried a handful of coverages to stop the set based around two seven-footers with very little success stopping it.

UCLA played 6(!) different coverages and tried multiple defenders against Michigan’s 4-5 Pick & Roll with Danny Wolf and Vlad Goldin.
It didn’t matter — Michigan dissected all of them.

Goldin, Wolf and the rest of the Wolverines don’t play in the Big Ten Tournament until Friday. The Wolverines will face either 6-seed Purdue (Michigan is 1-1 against the Boilermakers this season), 11-seed Rutgers (2-0) or 14-seed USC (1-0). Michigan will play the last game of the night, which is projected to tip-off around 9 p.m., but it will likely be later given the one-venue tournament format. On FanDuel , the Wolverines have the seventh-best odds to win the Big Ten Tournament (+1200).
