Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was back in Ann Arbor last week as part of FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff crew.
Meyer is an analyst for FOX’s pre-game show and got to go back to a place where he’s not well-liked. During his Ohio State tenure, Meyer went 7-0 against Michigan.
Before last Saturday’s Michigan-Texas game, Meyer had the opportunity to speak to a sports management class and got booed by Michigan students. He was even wearing a “Beat Michigan” shirt during a class, which didn’t help his case.
“I said, ‘This might make great TV.’ It’s a sports management class,” Meyer said, via On3 . “We went. Mark Ingram gets cheered everywhere he goes except Auburn, Alabama. I get booed a lot of places and I got booed, my gosh.”
Meyer got his wish with Michigan losing after Texas dominated the game. It resulted in a 31-12 win for the Longhorns and showed that they’re for real this season.
The Wolverines are now 1-1 this season and will play the Arkansas State Red Wolves this Saturday in Ann Arbor before the USC Trojans come up on September 21.
Kickoff for Saturday’s game will be at Noon ET on Big Ten Network.
