Morrison served as the team’s outside linebackers coach (1987-1994), offensive line coach (1995–1996), recruiting coordinator (1996–2002), and special teams coach (1997–2002).
He also coached at William & Mary, VMI, Navy, NC State, LSU, Bowling Green State, Virginia, and Michigan. He helped Michigan secure the nation’s top recruiting class in 1998 and had the program in the top 10 in seven of eight years as the recruiting coordinator.
Morrison was born in Ohio and played football, basketball, and baseball growing up.
A Celebration of Life will take place next Wednesday, December 18 from Nie Family Funeral Home in Ann Arbor Michigan. It will begin at 5 p.m. ET.
Michigan is coming off a 7-5 season after winning the national title last year. Jim Harbaugh led the program to the title before leaving for the NFL where he’s now the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.
Sherrone Moore took over for Harbaugh once he took that gig with the Chargers. It was a challenging 2024 season but it did involve Michigan beating Ohio State for a fourth straight season.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Morrison’s family and friends. May he rest in peace.
