The College Football Playoff Selection Committee has a new chair for the 2024 season and a lot of people have thoughts about it.
According to college football insider Bruce Feldman, Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel will serve as the new committee chair for the 2024 season. He will be joined on the committee by representatives of Washington State, Arizona State, Virginia, Baylor and Arkansas among others.
“Michigan AD Warde Manuel has been named as the CFP’s selection committee chair for the 2024 season. WAZZU AD Pat Chun, ASU great Randall McDaniel, Gary Pinkel, Baylor AD Mack Rhoades, UVA AD Carla Williams and Ark AD Hunter Yurachek have been added to the selection committee,” Feldman wrote.
As you might expect, fans were not impressed by the move. Many were critical of Manuel for his handling of the football and basketball teams:

“Should be fired for running off Harbaugh instead,” one user replied.
“Why, we want Warde fired for being horrible,” wrote another.
“M fans won’t be happy about this. They want Warde fired,” a third wrote.
