It is game week as the Michigan Wolverines are prepping for Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day against the Alabama Crimson Tide. It will be over three weeks since Michigan beat Iowa in the Big Ten Championship, and preparation has been ongoing since then for a shot at the National Championship.
Clearly, there was a ton of controversy regarding the Crimson Tide being one of the Top-4 while Florida State went undefeated in the ACC, beat an SEC non-conference opponent, but missed the playoffs while Alabama was admitted.
Nick Saban’s squad did beat Georgia in the SEC Championship, which rocked the College Football Playoff committee because Alabama’s resume is likely the worst of the four teams in the field. They narrowly escaped a horrible performance in the Iron Bowl against Auburn, lost to a Texas team that didn’t go undefeated in the Big 12, and had shotty performances throughout the course of the season.
At the same time, this team has a lot of talent, led by quarterback Jalen Milroe, one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the country. Beating Georgia proved that they were the best team in the SEC as they went through the conference unscathed. Michigan may be the No. 1 team in the country, but they have not gotten out of the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff to this point.
Now that we are just days away from Michigan’s playoff run, how confident are you that they get the job done against Alabama?
The spread in this game is only 1.5 points according to DraftKings SportsBook. If you’re putting money on the game, what do you think will be the result of the Rose Bowl?
