Michigan won the College Football Playoff this past season and is hungry for even more success in 2024.
The program will have to do it with a new head coach and quite a few new players, especially at quarterback. J.J. McCarthy is not with the team anymore after he got drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2024 NFL Draft.
That means Michigan has a quarterback competition on its hands for this year but it’s something that head coach Sherrone Moore refuses to talk about. He wants to let it play out.
“I’m not going to answer any questions about the quarterback situation,” Moore said, via On3 .
The Wolverines have a few quarterbacks battling to be the starter for this season, including Jack Tuttle, Davis Warren, and Alex Orji.
Orji and Warren both played during Michigan’s spring game in April and had sound performances.
Moore still has plenty of time before he has to name a starter. Michigan has yet to start summer or fall practice and won’t play a regular season game until Aug. 31 against Fresno State.
Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. ET.
