Colston Loveland left Michigan’s win against Northwestern with an undisclosed injury. Here’s what Sherrone Moore had to say about it.
Michigan tight end Colston Loveland hauled in a three-yard touchdown reception with just seconds to go in the first half of Michigan’s 50-6 win over Northwestern. Unfortunately, Loveland wouldn’t return to the game in the second half.

After the game, Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore was asked about Loveland’s injury status.
“Just working through something, so we’ll see what they say when we go visit the doctors,” Moore said.
Moore didn’t comment on what exactly Loveland injured, but it’s worth noting that Loveland injured his shoulder against Arkansas State in September and missed the following game against USC.
Earlier in the game Loveland set the single-season reception record for a tight end in Michigan history with 54 — Loveland finished the game with three receptions for 22 yards and one receiving touchdown.
Michigan’s offense is a whole lot better with Loveland on the field and with No. 2 Ohio State (10-1) up next, they’re surely hoping he gets healthy in a hurry.
We’ll continue to monitor Loveland’s injury status throughout the week leading up to the tilt against the rival Buckeyes.
