A couple of Michigan football players entered the transfer portal this week.
According to The Detroit News , cornerback D.J. Waller and linebacker Jeremiah Beasley have entered the transfer portal and plan to commit to another school.
Both entered the portal after Michigan finished spring practice on Apr. 20. The portal opened on Apr. 16 and will close on Apr. 30.
Beasley is a former four-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class and was the eighth-best recruit in his home state (Michigan), per 247Sports composite rankings . He was also the No. 31 linebacker recruit in the nation and the No. 377 overall recruit.
He signed with Michigan in December and participated in practices when the school was on its way to winning the College Football Playoff.
Waller played sparingly during the 2023 season and finished with 11 total tackles and a pass defended.
Michigan finished the 2023 season with a perfect 15-0 record after beating Washington in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
The Wolverines will try and make it two national titles in a row this upcoming season under new head coach Sherrone Moore. He took over for Jim Harbaugh after he left for the Los Angeles Chargers.
