According to Jon Rothstein , Michigan and Wake Forest are scheduling a two-year series.
The Wolverines will face the Demon Deacons at a neutral venue in Greensboro this year, with a return game scheduled for Detroit in the following season. This year’s matchup will reportedly be played on November 10th, making it a marquee test for Dusty May’s first team in the first weekend of the regular season.
Dusty May said in a recent interview that Michigan’s 2024-25 schedule is almost complete, with just the easiest games left to schedule.
“Scheduling is a little bit like recruiting, where we’re recruiting each other,” May said. “We’re triyng to hold off this game because we want this game or we’d like to get into this tournament, but maybe the dates don’t work.
The Wolverines should have a strong non-conference schedule in May’s first season with a slate that is heavy on neutral court games. The Wolverines will face Oklahoma in Charlotte and Arkansas in New York City. They’ll also participate in the Fort Myers Tip-Off preseason tournament with two games against South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Xavier (matchups to be announced).
