The Wolverines have been putting in work on the recruiting trail, and they are good standing with a lot of high-end prospects. That includes a top OL target that has two visits scheduled to Michigan, including his official visit:
It was another big week for the 2026 class, as a ton of prospects are narrowing down their options and setting up visits for the spring and summer. We still have a few months before a flood of commitments happens, but the Michigan Wolverines are making progress with a number of their top targets.
Top OL target sets two visits to Ann Arbor
Four-star offensive lineman Zaden Krempin is an important target for the Wolverines in the 2026 class, and he will be taking two visits to Michigan in the coming months. He will be on campus March 17 and again for his official visit the weekend of June 20.
Krempin is looking forward to these visits, as he will get to talk closely with offensive line coach Grant Newsome.
“I just want to sit down talk to coach (Grant) Newsome,” Krempin told On3’s EJ Holland ($) . “I want them to show that they really want me and see me as an early starter. They’ve told me that. They’ve told my dad that. But it will be nice just to hear it again and talk to all the coaches.”
The Wolverines are in good standing with Krempin heading into these visits.
“Michigan is really high on my list,” Krempin said. “I’ve been very impressed. They have the best recruiters. They really know how to recruit guys. They’ve been really good to us since Day 1. Coach (Sherrone) Moore cares about our relationship, and that matters to me.”
Krempin — who is 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds — is one of Michigan’s top targets along the offensive line in this cycle, so hopefully these visits go well and the Wolverines can lock him into the class this summer. He is the No. 191 overall player in the class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Four-star safety schedules official visit
Another player that will be taking an official visit to Michigan is 2026 four-star safety Chace Calicut . Much like Krempin, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Houston, Texas native will also be in Ann Arbor the weekend of June 20.
Calicut appreciates what Michigan has to offer, as he has seen the Wolverines develop a lot of players into next level talent.
“I really like Michigan’s mentality and the type of program they run,” Calicut told On3 . “Michigan puts guys into the NFL, too.”
Calicut — who is also considering Texas and Texas A&M heavily — is the No. 172 player in the 2026 class according to 247Sports composite rankings, and he
Four-star QB discusses recent Michigan offer
The Wolverines have been heavily recruiting four-star quarterback Trae Taylor in the 2027 class, but they are turning some of their attention to a newly offered prospect — four-star Kaviant Bryant . He is the No. 95 player in his class and recently discussed his offer with On3’s Holland ($) .
“It was exciting,” Bryant said of the offer. “I got the call at my house, and it was really exciting to get an offer from a program like Michigan. I know they got Bryce Underwood. I feel like that’s my type of comparison.”
It sounds like Bryant is pretty high on Michigan right now, and he is planning to get out to Ann Arbor for a visit.
“Michigan is one of my top schools,” Bryant said. “They are a championship tradition type of team. That’s something that stands out. I want to visit soon.”
