Ron Bellamy is putting in some work on the trail, getting a top target on campus in June and during the season.
In this edition of the Recruiting Roundup, we will discuss some news regarding a top target at the receiver position, an emerging target at running back receiving his offer from the Wolverines, and a top safety target finalizing when he will announce his commitment. Let’s get right to it!
Top-100 WR visiting in June, for a game this fall
According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong ($), 2025 four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh is set to unofficially visit Michigan on June 4. Additionally, Marsh plans on taking an official visit to Ann Arbor this fall for a game.
It’s a bummer he won’t be officially visiting Michigan this summer — he has officials set up for Penn State, USC, Texas, Kentucky and Oklahoma — but it is good that he will at least be on campus for a day before embarking on a few other official visits during the month.
Michigan is really in need of some bigger wide receivers in this class, and Marsh certainly fits the bill of an outside threat at 6-foot-1 and 173 pounds. Bellamy is going after a handful in this class, but there aren’t many higher ranked prospects on Michigan’s list than him. This is an uphill climb, but we’ll see how his visits go next month.
Marsh is ranked No. 44 overall and the No. 6 wideout in his class, per 247Sports’ composite.
2025 RB speaks on recent U-M offer, upcoming visit
After 2025 four-star running back Marquise Davis committed to Kentucky a couple weeks ago, new running backs coach Tony Alford has been busy sending out offers to other players at the position. One of the most recent — Tennessee native Shekai Mills-Knight — recently shared his thoughts on the offer with The Michigan Insider’s Brice Marich ($).
“Coach Alford came to campus and left before it ended, but wanted to see how I operated and he liked what he saw, so we got on call later that night and he offered,” Mills-Knight said. “I essentially was hyped.”
Now with the offer in hand, Mills-Knight is “pretty interested” in the Wolverines, and he even has tentative plans to unofficially visit Ann Arbor on May 28. He may also be back this fall for an official visit.
“I love their business school and their running back tradition,” he said. “Coach told me they’re losing their big back next year and that’s where I’d come in. I also love how coach Alford knows the game.”
Currently unranked on the 247Sports composite, the 6-foot-1, 217-pound Mills-Knight holds other offers from Ohio State , Oregon, Miami, Ole Miss , Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Utah, Florida, Michigan State and more.
Four-star S sets commitment date
In what is probably the most gracious thing a recruit can do for football writers and fans of college football everywhere, 2025 four-star safety JaDon Blair will be announcing his commitment on July 5, one day after the Fourth of July holiday.
247Sports’ Eric Thomas ($), a Notre Dame writer, believes Michigan and … well … Notre Dame, to be Blair’s two finalists in his recruitment. However, Blair does have a busy month ahead of him, as he has official visits scheduled for South Carolina (May 31), Notre Dame (June 7), Michigan (June 14), Florida State (June 18) and Penn State (June 21), according to his 247Sports profile. He also recently visited Virginia Tech and Louisville.
Anything can happen during those official visits, so it will be more important to monitor how they go leading up to his commitment on July 5.
Blair, who is 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, is ranked No. 160 overall and No. 9 at the safety position on 247Sports’ composite.
