A top-100, four-star CB is set to visit Michigan next week, with his decision date set for the end of June. We have that and more in today’s Recruiting Roundup:
June and July, two of the most important months on the college football recruiting calendar, are fast approaching. In anticipation of those key summer months, Michigan’s staff is ramping up recruiting efforts on a few key prospects.
We have the latest updates heading into your weekend, starting with a top cornerback recruit visiting next week.
Top-100 CB set for official visit with decision date approaching
You can never have too many good cornerbacks, and Michigan has been pursuing a number of players to restock that room. One recruit who has been pursued more recently is Khary Adams , who was in Ann Arbor for the spring game in April .
Adams’ commitment date is now set for June 28, three weeks after his official visit to Michigan the weekend of June 6. On3’s Chad Simmons ($) caught up with Adams, who has already officially visited Penn State and plans to also see South Carolina, Notre Dame and Oregon in June.
“It could be a great situation for me at Michigan,” Adams said, with Simmons reporting that Michigan started recruiting Adams later than others. “I like the scheme, they run a lot of press man and I feel I could thrive in that defense. The coaches are really cool, too.”
Adams is rated 75th overall on the 247Sports composite, ninth among cornerbacks and fourth among recruits from Maryland. A Crystal Ball has been logged for Adams to land at Penn State, but perhaps this late push by the Wolverines can prove that prediction wrong.
Four-star RB speaks on Michigan interest after recent offer
Running backs have thrived at Michigan, with Blake Corum, Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards being the focal points of offense the last few years. Seeing that workload entices running back recruits, including four-star Ryan Estrada .
Estrada, ranked 21st among running backs and just outside the top-300 overall in 2026 on the composite, announced a recent offer from Michigan , with running backs coach Tony Alford extending the offer.

“Coach Alford actually came down to watch our spring game and he really like the way I moved around and the way carry myself,” Estrada told The Michigan Insider’s Brice Marich ($). “After the game he offered me and I’m so fired up about Michigan and think very highly of them. I’m very thankful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get down there and spend some great time in Ann Arbor with the staff.”
Estrada is hoping to get an official visit on the calendar, saying Michigan is “definitely a top school” due to his relationship with the coaches and the recent success at the position.
“I’m very interested in Michigan and love their style of play,” Estrada said. “I really like how much they feed the running backs the ball and also the environment and atmosphere around campus. I also really like the way coach Alford coaches and how relationships are very important to him.
“They’re definitely a top school for me and as I continue to keep building a relationship with the staff. They will most likely keeping moving up my board.”
Four-star WR previews Michigan visit this weekend
More than a few talented recruits will be in Ann Arbor this weekend for an official visit, including 2026 four-star wide receiver Christian Ward . He got an offer from Michigan back in January, and also has offers from Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina. The Marietta, Georgia, native says that when it comes to his list, Michigan is “at the top for sure.”
On3’s Ethan McDowell ($) reported that Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy visited Ward’s school in the early days of the spring evaluation period. Ward left that visit with a good impression of what could be his future position coach.
“I watched him coach when I came to a practice,” Ward said. “He seemed like a good coach. Even the ones who weren’t that high level in football, he didn’t give up on them and still gave them chances and coached them…I feel like he’s a good coach, and he wants to best out his players.”
Ward says he plans to talk to current Michigan players on his visit to get an honest opinion on the program. He is also considering official visits to Florida State and Georgia Tech , but no dates are on the calendar for those.
