The Michigan Wolverines have been hosting a plethora of top recruits on visits as of late, and they have received a lot of good reviews.
Here is the latest buzz:
Four-star 2026 DB was impressed by Michigan visit
One 2026 target that was in Ann Arbor recently is four-star defensive back Davon Benjamin . Benjamin enjoyed his visit, and one thing in particular stood out to him.
“Michigan was great,” Benjamin told On3’s Steve Wiltfong ($) . “What I like most about the Wolverines is their culture — they work hard and care about more than just football.”
A lot of recruits have raved about Michigan’s culture, so no surprise there. It was a successful visit, but Benjamin is going to take his time with his college decision.
“They definitely stand out,” Benjamin said. “The culture, coaching and energy at Michigan are up there with the best. I’m still taking my time, checking out other schools, and seeing what feels right.”
He also took a recent visit to Oregon, so the Ducks appear to be among the top competition for Michigan here.
Michigan working hard to land top in-state recruit
Michigan landed the top recruit in the state in the 2025 cycle, and the Wolverines are hoping to do the same in 2026.
Four-star athlete CJ Sadler from Cass Tech High School is the top player from the Mitten State. He plays both sides of the ball — wide receiver and defensive back — and wants to do the same in college. He is happy with what he has heard from Michigan in that regard.
There are a lot of top schools going after Sadler, but being the hometown school is a big advantage for Michigan.
“It’s just always love there,” Sadler told On3’s Ethan McDowell ($) . “That’s the hometown, and, like I always say, it’s always great to just get recruited by your hometown college team. That’s always kind of been a dream to me, a thing to me with this football thing, man, just getting recruited by the home state and representing the city.”
Another thing that has helped Michigan with Sadler is the addition of Bryce Underwood. We knew when Underwood committed that others would follow, and he makes the Wolverines a more attractive option for players like Sadler.
“Them having a quarterback that I know who can deliver the ball and get people the ball, that kind of stood out to me,” Sadler said. “Because the last time I was there, they ain’t really have no quarterback like that for real.”
Sadler plans on taking a bunch of official visits this summer before making his commitment.
2026 CB high on Michigan after latest visit
Michigan hosted 2026 four-star cornerback Khary Adams over the weekend for the spring game, and it was a big success. His first visit to Ann Arbor exceeded expectations.
“They made a great first impression,” Adams told On3’s Chad Simmons ($) . “It was good vibes and it was better than I expected it to be. The best highlights were the spring game, hanging out with the coaches and just going around the campus.”
The coaching staff made it very clear to Adams he is he is one of their top priorities in the 2026 class.
“The coaches told me that I am a must-get and my interest has increased in the school,” Adams added. “I would say they are in my top-five (now) for sure.”
Adams is hoping to officially visit Michigan in the near future, and a non-football factor is a big reason why.
“Michigan has a chance to get an official visit now, so I have to figure some things out,” Adams said. “They are high on my list now because of the opportunities the school has to offer. It is not even about football, but about what they have to offer academically. The degree is meaningful. I love the opportunity I have to see the field early there too.”
