After visiting Michigan last weekend, one of the best uncommitted cornerbacks in the 2026 class spoke highly of the Wolverines and his tight bond with LaMar Morgan. We have that and more in today’s Recruiting Roundup:
Michigan has been going hard on the recruiting trail in recent weeks, offering players in the 2027 class and hosting prospects in the 2026 class for official visits. On today’s Recruiting Roundup, we’ll focus on some of the recent recruits to swing through Ann Arbor.
Elite CB discusses recent Michigan official visit
Four-star cornerback Khary Adams has been one of Michigan’s top targets as of late. Adams — ranked 75th in his class and ninth among cornerbacks on the 247Sports composite — was in Michigan for the spring game and took his official visit this past weekend.
Coaches reviewed Adams’ film with him during the visit, which really got the Towson, Maryland native’s attention.
“They have a need at corner, and they said I am the corner they need,” Adams told 247Sports’ Brian Dohn ($). “Then they showed that.”
Adams loved how Michigan utilized its coverage schemes to prepare players for the NFL, and spoke on his strong bond with defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan.
“He’s a great dude,” Adams said. “Football aside, he’s a great man. Just the way he acts, what he does, he really cares for the players. Off the field, he really takes care of them and makes sure they are good.”
South Carolina and Penn State have also hosted Adams on official visits, and Notre Dame will host him later this month. Adams set his commitment date for June 28. One important stat to know — Adams has wheels, running the 100-meter dash for his high school’s track team in the 10.7-second range.
Staff compares four-star DB to Dax Hill
Adams wasn’t the only four-star defensive back in Ann Arbor for an official visit last weekend, as Donovan Webb was also at Michigan. The Frisco, Texas, native is ranked 347th among 2026 recruits and 29th among safeties on the composite .
“My visit was amazing,” Webb said to The Wolverine’s EJ Holland ($) . “I got to see everything I didn’t see in the spring, and I was able to get a better feel of the campus and the city. I loved everything about Ann Arbor.”
Webb mentioned that meeting head coach Sherrone Moore was “definitely the highlight of my visit.” Like Adams, Webb also had lengthy conversations with Morgan, who focused mostly on how he would fit in Michigan’s scheme.
“My talks with Morgan and the other DB coaches were great,” Webb said. “They love my versatility and see me fitting as a nickel and free safety. They believe my play style is similar to Daxton Hill.”
Webb has visited Colorado and Kansas State and plans to visit Notre Dame next weekend before making a final decision in July. It’s not a guarantee by any means, but Michigan appears to be in a good place.
“Michigan has always been high on my list,” Webb said. “I honestly don’t see that changing after this weekend.”
Recent three-star DL commit explains why he chose Michigan
Mid-June is a little early for most players to commit, but that is exactly what three-star defensive lineman Allister Vallejo did earlier this week. Vallejo, rated just outside the top-400 on the composite , took the mic at his commitment and explained why he committed to Michigan.
“If you want to be the best, you got to go where the best work”

“It really just seemed like a fit for me and my family,” Vallejo said. “We really had a long-thought conversation on the culture, the history behind it, it was a really good choice for us, and also the development through the players recently…they’re developing them.”
Speaking on that development, Vallejo brought up Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, two top-15 draft picks who improved dramatically at Michigan.
“If you want to be the best, you got to go where the best work,” Vallejo said. “They got something good going on though, there, it’s something I want to be apart of.”
