Plus, a running back locks in an official visit, and a wide receiver shows strong interest in Michigan.

In today’s edition of the Recruiting Roundup, we’ll touch on a four-star edge highly interested in Michigan after receiving an offer, a running back locking in his official visit, and a wide receiver showing strong interest in Michigan.

Let’s get into it.

2025 four-star edge says Michigan checks ‘a lot of my boxes’

Michigan has been extending a lot of offers to players in the 2025 class lately, with one of the most recent offers going to four-star edge Julius Holly.

I’m thankful to receive an offer from the University of Michigan @UMichFootball @Coach_SMoore @UMichCoachEspo @AHSFootball @Mhoward38 @JasonKervin @KimEarl_Jr @AlphaProspects @JoeMento @JeremyO_Johnson @ChadSimmons_ @RustyMansell_ @On3Recruits @247recruiting @RivalsFriedman … pic.twitter.com/vXJBCh1Nu1

Michigan is one of more than two dozen schools that have offered Holly, including Michigan State , Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Ole Miss , among others. The Alpharetta, Georgia native is rated as a top-350 player in the 2025 class on the 247Sports composite , as well as the 26th ranked edge and 40th ranked recruit from the Peach State.

Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider ($) reported that defensive line coach Lou Esposito was in Georgia to watch Holly workout when checking out prospects in the state. After securing a Michigan offer, Holly said he was excited about the opportunities Michigan would provide outside of football.

“I’m definitely interested considering they have one of if not the best engineering programs in college football,” Holly said. “That’s what I want to major in.”

Holly also had some praise for what the Wolverines have done in the trenches.

“I thought they looked amazing and had one of the best defensive lines in the nation probably second to none.”

Holly has not yet secured an offer from the best program in his state: the Georgia Bulldogs . They may come into the mix at some point, but at this moment, it appears Michigan is a clear contender to land him.

“I would say they stand pretty high,” Holly said. “They’re just one of those schools that check a lot of my boxes really well.”

2025 RB schedules official visit

Running back is a priority position for the Wolverines, especially since the hiring of running backs coach Tony Alford. He recently went to Louisiana to see 2025 three-star Jasper Parker. Parker and was able to lock in an official visit for the weekend of June 14, according to On3’s EJ Holland ($) .

Alford recently went down to Archbishop Shaw in Louisiana to check in on Parker, who relayed how that conversation went with Holland.

“It was great,” Parker said. “He emphasized the need for me to go to Michigan. He just reiterated a lot of things and showed why they are a powerful option in this recruiting process. We talked schemes, plans for enrolling and just grew closer.”

Parker visited Ann Arbor earlier this spring . He first received an offer from wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy, who is an Archbishop Shaw alum .

“Coach Bellamy went to my high school, so we chop it up and talk all the time,” Parker said. “He was in my shoes making decisions like this. He told me why it was the right decision and choice. He talked to my parents about taking care of me.”

Parker, who ranks just outside the top-400 on the 247Sports composite , is looking forward to seeing the team’s culture in person and dive deeper into things off the field.

“They are definitely top on my list,” Parker said. “They have placed themselves within striking distance. They are up there. Michigan has been a staple of excellence for years.”

Three-star WR has ‘strong interest’ in Michigan

Holly wasn’t the only 2025 recruit to secure an offer this week, as the Wolverines also extended one to three-star wide receiver Preston Bowman.

Bowman, who rates just outside the top-50 among recruits from Ohio, told 247Sports’ Allen Trieu ($) he’s had respect for the Wolverines for years now.

“The first thought that pops in my head is reigning National Champions! The place is first class and I’ve felt this way ever since my first camp there three years ago,” Bowman said.

Bowman plays at Pickerington North, the same school that former tight end Jake Butt attended. He also said coach Bellamy is reconnecting with him later this week to discuss setting up a potential official visit.

“I have a strong interest in Michigan dating back to camping there as a sophomore,” he said. “I have been there four times and every time, it gets better and I go home with take always to implement into my training on and off the field. From the first visit, Coach Bellamy took time to give me things to work on and I’ve done that. It’s been fantastic getting to know more about him, the room he leads, and the overall culture at Michigan. Go Blue!”
