Now that the season is over, we should start seeing NFL Draft declarations rolling in any day now. Today, we predict which Michigan Wolverines will stick around in Ann Arbor and which ones will head to the pros:
After an astounding 13 Wolverines were selected in the 2024 NFL Draft — plus another five undrafted free agents — there are still plenty of talented players in Ann Arbor who will likely declare to the 2025 draft in the weeks to come now that the regular season is over.
Today, we take a look at who we think will stay in college, and who will head off to the pros.
Guys Who Are Definitely Gone
Junior DT Mason Graham: Top-five
Graham is going to be a very good NFL player. He’s a force in both the pass rush and run game, and he must be double-teamed at all times. His size, skill, athleticism and relentless motor will revolutionize whichever franchise is lucky enough to land him.
Junior CB Will Johnson: Top-10
Johnson probably would have been a first-round pick in each of the last couple of drafts. Now he’s finally eligible and remains a nearly flawless prospect. He’s a lockdown man-to-man corner with excellent instincts and ball skills in zone coverage. He will be one of the first cornerbacks off the board.
Junior TE Colston Loveland: 1st Round
The Mackey Award finalist is a perfect fit for today’s NFL. He’s a matchup nightmare with his slick route running and reliable hands. Few defensive backs are big enough to handle him and most linebackers are too slow to run with him.
Junior DT Kenneth Grant: 1st-2nd Round
Grant may not have the pass-rushing abilities of his buddy Graham, but his size and quickness will be an asset for a team looking to beef up their interior defensive line.
Senior DB Rod Moore: 3rd-4th Round
Despite tearing his ACL over the summer, Moore has produced plenty of quality film at Michigan. He’s versatile enough to move around the secondary and provide support in a variety of schemes.
Junior LB Jaishawn Barham: 4th-5th Round
Barham plays with an intensity and mean streak that will have GMs drooling. He has struggled at times in coverage, but he can carve out a meaningful roster spot.
Guys Who Could be Drafted, but Should Stay
Junior DE Derrick Moore: 5th Round
While Moore is certainly capable of playing in the NFL next season, I believe another year of refining his pass rush moves and adding a deeper arsenal will greatly benefit his stock. That being said, he very well could declare.
Senior FB/TE Max Bredeson: 7th Round
The emotional leader of the Michigan offense will certainly have a chance to play in the NFL. Teams are already beginning to combat the shell coverage with more old-school, power-running principles.
Senior DE TJ Guy: UDFA
With so many departing defensive linemen, Guy — who has already shown flashes as a rotational player — will have a huge opportunity to lead the defense next year.
Senior DT Rayshaun Benny: UDFA
Benny is in a similar boat as Guy. He’s a good player, but when you have Graham and Grant above you on the depth chart, it’s hard to shine. His draft stock can soar in 2025.
Junior K Dominic Zvada: UDFA
Zvada’s draft stock is rising, especially after nailing another 50+ yard field goal against Ohio State over the weekend. But another year in Ann Arbor would do him good and provide even more tape for the NFL.
Senior P Tommy Doman: UDFA
Doman has always been regarded as a top punter, and nothing has changed in his time as a Wolverine, it’s just he plays a low-priority position.
