Oscar Goodman may have only been in Ann Arbor for three days so far, but he’s already getting a good impression from his time with the Michigan men’s basketball team. The 17-year-old forward joined the Wolverines Thursday night, and while he hasn’t had much time with his teammates or coaches, he’s liked what he’s seen.
Speaking to the media for the first time as a member of the program Sunday following Michigan’s win over Washington, Goodman called the time he’s spent in Ann Arbor thus far “awesome.” In addition to talking about the limited time he’s spent, Goodman also delved into why he chose to join the Wolverines midseason for his first experience with college basketball.
“A big thing was the school difference,” Goodman said. “Being in Australia and New Zealand, I’d finished my high school years already. And I think the big thing for me was just to get a head start in school and then get to know the team, get to know the coaches.”
