During the second quarter of “The Game,” Michigan wide receiver Roman Wilson had a controversial touchdown to give his squad a 14-3 lead over Ohio State.
Ohio State cornerback Denzel Burke came up with the football at the end of the play, leading some people to believe it should’ve been called an interception.
While speaking to the media this Wednesday afternoon, Burke addressed Wilson’s questionable touchdown catch. As you’d expect, he’s still salty about the call.
“It was blatant,” Burke said . “He didn’t have control of the ball.”
Even though Burke thought it was a blatant interception, the referees didn’t see it that way.
“I’m thinking he’s going to give me the pick, like we got a pick in the red zone. It’s going to change the game,” Burke said. “And then I turn around, and I see his hands go up, and I’m like, wow.”
Ohio State CB Denzel Burke still bothered by Michigan WR Roman Wilson’s TD catch that was upheld after review.
“It was blatant. He didn’t have control of the ball.”

There’s nothing Burke could do to change what happened in Ann Arbor. That being said, if it was ruled an interception, that would’ve completely flipped momentum in Ohio State’s favor.
Ohio State ultimately lost to Michigan on a last-minute interception from Kyle McCord.
