Notre Dame offensive lineman Pat Coogan will be visiting Michigan this weekend. Does Michigan have a strong chance of landing the Fighting Irish standout?
Michigan’s doing its best to bolster its offensive line for the 2025 season via the transfer portal. Specifically, Michigan is targeting two Notre Dame offensive linemen who have entered the portal since the Fighting Irish appeared in the CFP National Championship.
Earlier this week multiple reports indicated that Michigan is interested in Notre Dame right guard Rocco Spindler. Now, Pete Nakos of On3 Sports is reporting that Notre Dame center Pat Coogan officially has a date set for a visit to Michigan. Per Nakos, Coogan has a visit scheduled with Indiana on Friday and will visit the Wolverines on Saturday.

Coogan started 26 games for Notre Dame at center and left guard and would provide experience and versatilty along Michigan’s offensive line. Coogan allowed just eight quarterback pressures in 2024 and allowed one sack. Coogan stands 6-foot-5, 310 pounds and has one year of eligibility remaining.
We should receive more information about Michigan’s pursuit of Coogan after his visit to Ann Arbor on Saturday, but things certainly seem to be trending in the right direction for the Wolverines to add him to the fold.
