NFL free agency is off to a hot start, and former Michigan Wolverine Jourdan Lewis is now the highest-paid nickel CB in the NFL after signing a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars:
Former Michigan Wolverines cornerback Jourdan Lewis has been a mainstay in the NFL for nearly a decade. The former two-time First-Team All-American was drafted in the third round by the Dallas Cowboys in 2017, and has called Dallas his home ever since.
But Lewis’ life will be a bit different this year, for the better. NFL free agency — well, the legal tampering period, but essentially free agency — kicked off on Monday, and Lewis became the highest-paid slot cornerback in the league with a three-year, $30 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars .
The Jaguars are signing Jourdan Lewis, Per The Insiders and Peter Schrager. He becomes the NFL’s highest-paid nickel CB.

According to Over The Cap , Lewis has “only” earned $20.6 million in his career, so this is a huge payday for the former Cass Tech (Detroit) student-athlete.
Throughout his eight-year NFL career, Lewis has racked up 386 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 10 interceptions, 44 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.
Congratulations to Lewis, who was one hell of a high school and college player in the state of Michigan.
