Trouble appears to be on its way for the Michigan football program.
The NCAA has reportedly delivered its full Notice of Allegations to the Michigan football program on Sunday, stemming from the Connor Stalions scandal.
Yahoo! Sports reporter Dan Wetzel reported the news on Sunday afternoon.
“The NCAA has finally delivered its full Notice of Allegations against Michigan in the advanced scouting/Connor Stalions case, industry sources tell @RossDellenger and me,” he reported.
“The NOA arrived just days before Stalions’ Netflix documentary “Sign Stealer” is set to drop. A leaked draft of the NOA was previously reported by ESPN. There are believed to be some changes in the final version.”
Several Michigan staffers are believed to be mentioned in the NOA, including head coach Sherrone Moore, who could be facing punishment for his role in the scandal.
Michigan is coming off a perfect, 15-0 season in 2023, ending with a national championship game win over Washington.
But the Wolverines lost head coach Jim Harbaugh to the NFL, as he’s now with the Chargers and immune from any NCAA punishment. That could leave Moore and the current Wolverines staff left to foot the punishment bill.
Michigan is set to open the 2024 season on Saturday, Aug. 31 against Fresno State.
