The roller coaster career of Amorion Walker has taken yet another unforeseen twist. The 6-foot-3, 182-pound wide receiver is entering the transfer portal.

Walker, who wore the prestigious No. 1 jersey for the Wolverines in 2024 — a number traditionally reserved for standout Michigan receivers — saw limited action last season. He appeared in four games and started one. He caught just three passes for 34 yards.
He leaves his second stint in Ann Arbor with two years of eligibility remaining.
Yes, you read that right. This is his second time leaving Ann Arbor. In case you forgot, he entered the transfer portal last offseason, transferred to Ole Miss , and then transferred back to Michigan for the 2024 season.
Though listed on the official spring roster, Walker was notably the only Michigan player without a jersey number. When asked about the situation earlier this week, wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy offered a vague explanation.
“He’s just working through something right now,” Bellamy said. “Just trying to get healthy, working through something.”
Now, for the second time in as many offseasons, Walker heads back into the portal in search of a new home. With the portal window running from April 16-25 and Michigan’s spring game set for April 19, his departure adds another layer of intrigue to a wide receiver room going through some changes.
Walker is the second player in as many days to enter the portal for the Wolverines, as news broke on Wednesday that defensive lineman Alessandro Lorenzetti is in search of a new college football home.
