Blake Corum officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.
In a video posted Sunday , the Michigan running back said he’s “hanging up my winged helmet” after leading the Wolverines to a national championship.
“Thank you for being the best fans ever,” Corum said. “My four years here have come to an end, but I’m forever grateful for the memories we created.”

After tallying 1,463 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns in 2022, Corum returned for his senior year to handle “unfinished business.” Corum achieved that goal when registering 134 yards and two touchdowns in a National Championship Game win over Washington.
The 5-foot-8 back scored 28 touchdowns, reaching the end zone in each of Michigan’s 15 wins. The All-American finished each of the last two seasons inside the Heisman voting’s top 10.
However, Corum wants his legacy to expand beyond his football stats.
“Football is my passion, but giving back is my purpose,” he said. “Michigan, please don’t remember me for scoring 59 touchdowns and breaking long runs. But remember me as a great Michigan Man who made a difference on and off the field.”
In 2022, Corum used his NIL money to purchase 300 turkeys. He one-upped himself by donating 600 turkeys two months ago before hosting a charity toy drive in December.
Corum had a fifth year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but he’ll end his college career on a high note and pursue the NFL. Pro Football Focus rates him as the draft class’ second-best running back behind Texas Longhorns star Jonathon Brooks.
