After not being picked in the 2025 NFL Draft, Michigan S Quinten Johnson has earned an invite to the Atlanta Falcons’ rookie minicamp:

After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, Michigan Wolverines safety Quinten Johnson has been invited to the Atlanta Falcons’ rookie minicamp, the team announced on Friday. Johnson joins cornerback Aamir Hall — who is trying out with the Detroit Lions — as Michigan defensive backs to be invited to a rookie minicamp.

Appearing in 58 games for the Wolverines, Johnson racked up 79 tackles — 55 of them solo— to go along with nine passes defensed and one interception. His lone pick came against Bowling Green in the national championship-winning 2023 season.

Our Matt Hartwell wrote about Johnson’s talents as part of our NFL Draft preview coverage, saying that while Johnson may not have elite traits, he’s fundamentally sound.

“Johnson may not have the elite athletic traits of a top-end prospect, but he offers a high football IQ, physicality, and the kind of reliability NFL teams value. He has excelled as a sure tackler and can contribute immediately on special teams while developing into a rotational defensive back.

“His physical play style and versatility make Johnson a fit for a team looking for depth at safety or in a hybrid linebacker role. While his age and lack of explosive speed may push him out of the draft, he could be a priority undrafted free agent who finds a home in an NFL secondary.”

The play that Michigan fans will likely remember when reflecting on Johnson’s college career was his hard hit on wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to break up a pass late in the third quarter in the 2023 win over Ohio State.

We at Maize n Brew wish Johnson the best as he tries to make it in the NFL.
