During his time at Michigan, Pollard recorded 15 total tackles, with the majority of his contributions coming during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. This year, he saw limited action by appearing in just two games.
Pollard, a three-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class, came out of Bartram Trail High School in Jacksonville, Florida. According to the 247Sports composite, he was the No. 101 overall prospect in Florida and the No. 90 linebacker in his class.
While Pollard showed promise early in his career, particularly on special teams, he struggled to secure a significant role in Michigan’s defense. As a freshman, he appeared in 12 games on special teams and played linebacker in four. In 2023, he continued to make an impact on special teams, playing in all 15 games, with limited snaps at linebacker in four contests.
Given his lack of playing time this season, Pollard’s decision to transfer isn’t unexpected. His departure leaves Michigan with one less linebacker heading into their matchup against Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
As with all players who enter the transfer portal, we wish Pollard the very best wherever he ends up next.
