Michigan Wolverines middle linebacker Junior Colson has officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft after three successful seasons in Ann Arbor. The junior is forgoing his final year of eligibility and moving on to the next level where he is a consensus top-five linebacker in the 2024 draft class.

Colson was a two-time All-Big Ten selection and the 2021 Big Ten Defensive Rookie of the Year. Colson was Michigan’s leading tackler in 2022 and 2023, and the anchor for the nation’s top defense. During his time at Michigan, Colson racked up 256 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
Colson will be highly sought-after at the next level. Having only turned 21 last month and listed at 6-foot-3, 247 pounds with elite speed, it will come as no surprise if Colson rockets up draft boards following a successful showing at the 2024 NFL Combine .
