Michigan is gearing up for its second major recruiting weekend of the season. Multiple top-100 prospects, a four-star recruit committed elsewhere, and a large contingent of Michigan commits will all be on campus. We’ve got the expected visitor list here:
The Michigan Wolverines are kicking off their Big Ten schedule with a top-25 matchup against USC on Saturday, and Sherrone Moore and his coaching staff have dialed up a recruiting weekend fit for the occasion.
More than 10 Michigan commits are expected in town, as are multiple top-100 playmakers and linemen, and a potential flip candidate. We’ve got the initial list of expected visitors and some thoughts on key recruits below.
Michigan Commits
Jasper Parker , four-star RB
Donovan Johnson , four-star RB
Jacob Washington , four-star WR
Andrew Olesh , four-star TE
Avery Gach , four-star OL
Kainoa Winston , four-star DB
Brody Jennings , four-star DB
Jennings surprisingly committed to the Wolverines after his first visit in July. This weekend will be his first trip back since giving his pledge and will serve as a key opportunity to keep the Florida native locked in. He’ll also likely have his recruiting cap on with multiple 2026 secondary targets also in attendance.
Eli Owens , three-star TE
Kaden Strayhorn , three-star OL
Bobby Kanka , three-star DL
Chase Taylor , three-star LB
Class of 2025 Prospects
Mikkel Skinner , four-star TE
Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng , four-star LB
This will be linebacker coach Brian Jean-Mary’s last chance to host the top-100 linebacker before he makes his college decision. Owusu-Boateng is the top remaining target on the defensive board and all hands will be on deck to ensure he enjoys his time in Ann Arbor. Expect his IMG teammates, Donovan Johnson and Kaden Strayhorn, and linebacker commit Chase Taylor to put the full-court press on him.
Alex Graham , four-star DB
Graham was also at IMG last season but transferred back to Cass Tech for his senior season. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is finally healthy after being plagued by injuries throughout the previous two seasons. Graham has been to campus on double-digit occasions, but committed to the Colorado Buffaloes in April. Now that defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan has had a chance to see Graham display his talents on the field, will he push for him to join the Wolverines’ class? If he does, a flip could be imminent.
Class of 2026 Prospects
Jett Washington , four-star ATH
The nephew of the late Kobe Bryant, Jett Washington is a talented prospect on both the hardwood and football field. At 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, he stars at multiple positions on both sides of the ball for Bishop Gorman (NV). Michigan offered in June and will get a chance to host the top-100 prospect and make a big impression before his recruitment truly takes off. Freshman running back Micah Ka’apana was his teammate last year and will surely be delivering his sales pitch.
CJ Sadler , four-star WR/ATH
Sadler is the top in-state prospect in 2026. He is a true difference-maker with the ball in his hands at Cass Tech and also has the versatility to play in the secondary. He was expected to visit two weekends ago for the Texas game but did not end up making the trip. Michigan has to get him on campus and start to make inroads in this recruitment before the allure of teams like Oregon and the power programs in the SEC start to set in.
Tyler Merrill , four-star OL
Cumberland Valley’s (PA) Merrill will be back on campus this weekend after making two trips to Ann Arbor earlier this year. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder is a top of the board target for offensive line coach Grant Newsome. Merrill’s recruitment is shaping up to be a battle with Notre Dame and Penn State.
Malakai Lee , four-star OL
Hailing from the Aloha State, Lee is making the nearly 4,500-mile trip to Ann Arbor for the second time in the last three months. He was on campus in June and was blown away by his initial experience. This will be the first game day visit for the massive 6-foot-7, 318-pounder.
Zaden Krempin , four-star OL
Krempin, a Texas native, was on campus for the BBQ at the Big House at the end of July and is returning for his first game in Ann Arbor. Michigan dipped into the LoneStar State last cycle to sign offensive line legacy recruit Blake Frazier. Krempin offers some of the same positional versatility along the line as Frazier — he plays tackle in high school, but I could see him sliding to guard as well at the next level. Michigan will be battling the in-region schools like SMU, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas and Texas A&M for the top-200 lineman.
Breck Kolojay , four-star OL
Braeden Jones , four-star edge
Luke Wafle , four-star edge
Luke is the younger brother of Michigan freshman interior defensive lineman Owen Wafle . Unlike his brother, Luke projects to the edge spot at the next level and has shown flashes of explosive athleticism coiled inside his 6-foot-4, 230-pound frame. Luke has said he could envision himself playing with Owen in college, but is also weighing interest from other powerhouse programs like Texas, Georgia and Ohio State .
Carter Meadows , four-star edge
Isaiah Simmons , four-star LB
Victor Singleton , four-star CB
Singleton, a top-100 prospect in 2026, was just on campus for the matchup against Texas. The Toledo native technically lives closer to Ann Arbor than he does to Columbus, despite having an Ohio zip code, and Morgan is going to continue to try to get him to make the trip north. Singleton is a twitchy athlete who can make momentum swinging plays in the secondary.
Hakim Satterwhite , four-star CB
Lincoln Keyes , three-star TE
Kedric Golston II , three-star LB
Aaron McFarland , unranked WR
TJ Cirilli , unranked LB
Jackson Ford , unranked edge/ATH
Jaziel Hart , unranked CB
Deacon King , unranked S
Amari Sabb , unranked ATH
Amari is the middle Sabb brother, flanked by his older brother Keon, who transferred from Michigan to Alabama this offseason, and his younger brother Xavier, a top-100 2027 recruit who is also visiting this weekend.
Class of 2027 Prospects
Anthony Cartwright , four-star TE/ATH
Cartwright is a top-100 player in the class of 2027. The in-state prospect attends Detroit Country Day and is approaching double-digit visits to Michigan, including a trip for the Texas game. He likely projects to tight end at the next level despite playing split out wide in high school.
Xavier Sabb , four-star ATH
As mentioned above, Xavier is the youngest brother of former Michigan safety Keon Sabb. There’s a long ways to go in this recruitment, but 247Sports named Xavier a top-50 recruit in their initial 2027 rankings. Getting both Sabbs on campus despite Keon transferring shows the Wolverines are still a serious contender for them.
Duke Banta , unranked QB
Chance McPike Jr. , unranked WR
